Specter's staff to meet with Monroe, Pike constituents
October 21, 2009
HARRISBURG —— Justin Porembo, deputy director of U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter's Allentown office, will be available to meet with Monroe and Pike County constituents from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, at the office of state Rep. John Siptroth, 4 Jay Park Plaza, Marshalls Creek.
Local residents who have issues relating to veterans' benefits, Medicare, Social Security, immigration and other federal topics can call Porembo at 610) 434-1444 to schedule time for a one-on-one meeting.
When Siptroth accompanied Specter around Monroe and Pike counties last month, they discussed the opportunity of working together to help constituents by providing the opportunity to meet with the senator's senior staff at Siptroth's Marshalls Creek office.
"My staff worked closely with our congressional delegation to help solve problems that our constituents have with federal programs and agencies," said Siptroth, D-Monroe/Pike. "Much of this is done with phone calls, e-mails and faxes to Washington, D.C. However, this gives local residents a chance to explain their problems first-hand to the senator's staff," Siptroth said.
